    1. I have a silly amount of hobbies. When your main character trait is must learn how everything works, it comes with the territory. These days, I spend my free time learning coding languages, urban sketching, gardening, short story writing, editing photos and playing the cello.

    2. I’m a big ol’ science nerd. No, really. My degree isn’t in writing — it’s in biochemistry. I spent a year doing research on bacteria from the upper atmosphere (and a summer playing in sheep brains). Cue the Bill Nye theme music.

    3. My office assistant is named Gravy. Gravy is a little black pug who likes to crawl under my desk and pass gas. I’m not sure why I hired her for this role.
